Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do I need to move my furniture before you arrive?
Nope — we handle the heavy lifting.
We move couches, beds, tables, and other large items.
You only need to remove small or fragile items like décor, pictures, collectibles, countertop items, and clear the tops of cabinets if we’re painting the kitchen. -
What do you need from me before the project starts?
Just a few simple things: choose your colors, remove decorative/fragile items, clear counters if we’re painting the kitchen, and keep pets/kids out of the work area. We take care of everything else.
-
What kind of paint do you use?
We use Valspar because it performs great without inflating costs. If you prefer Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore, we can use it — you just pay the difference. Good prep and proper coats matter more than the label, and we do it right.
-
How does payment work?
We take a 50% deposit when the contract is signed, and the remaining 50% when the job is complete. We accept cash, check, and card (card payments include a small processing fee).
-
Do we need to leave the house while you paint?
No — you can absolutely stay home. We keep things contained, communicate what rooms we’re working in, and make sure your home stays livable and functional during the project. If an area needs to be avoided temporarily (like a hallway or kitchen), we always let you know ahead of time.
-
Do you fix nail holes, dents, or minor repairs before painting?
We can take care of small repairs like filling nail holes, patching small dents, and smoothing surface imperfections — just let us know what you want addressed. If there’s larger damage we’ll point it out during the estimate and go over the options with you.
